- -A pellet stove is the most efficient and enviromentally responsible way to burn wood products. It burns cleaner than cord wood, emitting virtually no smoke or pollutants into our atmosphere. - -The stove itself manages the fuel feed rate and flow of combustion, so you can set it to the desired heat and forget it, only needing to fill it with pellets every couple of days or so,(depending on heat settings). With the "set it once and forget about it", pellet heat is obviously the more convenient way of burning wood. - -As global warming attracts more and more attention, we learn that Carbon dioxide and other 'greenhouse gases' are being released into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels such as oil, natural gas, propane and coal, all of which are non-renewable resources. - -But Pellet stoves use fuel that is a renewable resource, which means as long as the forests are managed properly and responsibly, we can use it forever without running out. - -The burning of pellets produces minimal smoke, so little in fact that some countries have exempted pellet appliances from the smoke emission testing requirements. During times in urban areas where it is common for restrictions to be placed on the use of wood-burning devices, pellet stoves are allowed to remain burning, due to their cleanliness. - -A ton
of pellets can be stored in less than half the space needed to store a
cord of wood. Alternative Heat & Energy 158 Broadway Amityville NY, 11701 631-608-8552 |
